Although the Warriors have only played four games so far, it isn’t hard to tell that Curry and his team are looking to gain the status of back to back NBA champions. Curry leads the league in Points Per Game right now at 37 ppg. Since the start of the season, in his first game he scored an astonishing 40 points, putting up 24 of his 40 in the first quarter! After the game was over, he told Craig Sager “I was very comfortable. We made sure this offseason we put in a lot of work.” He also said that the Ring Ceremony at the beginning of the game helped hype the guys up for the opening part of the season.
His second game of the season he put up 25 points and in his 4th game of the season he scored 30, which although is a lot for most players, this is a small amount for Curry, the MVP. In Curry’s 3rd game of the season, he dropped an “unreal” 53 points. Curry had 8 made 3 pointers in the game, and led his team to victory.
In the four opening games the Warriors played, he shot above 50% from the field, making him one of the NBA’s most efficient and prolific scorers once again.. In his game where he scored 53 points, he shot almost 60% from 3 point land.
Although it is too early to tell how Curry and the Warriors are going to do, it is pretty obvious they are going to accomplish great things under the leadership of the reigning MVP.
