“The lacrosse team looks amazing. My expectations are to win the IAC” said Justin Kelly ‘18. In the pre-season ranking, Bullis is the highest ranked IAC team.
Bullis finished the 2017 season with an outstanding 18-3 record, but unfortunately lost to Landon the the championship game 18-7. They are looking to bounce back with a new team that is competitive and eager to win despite the loss in the championship game last year.
“It stinks when you lose, especially to our rival, Landon. That was definitely our wakeup call because we do not want to feel that way again” said Justin Kelly (‘18).
To begin this year,Bullis has won their first two games to start the young season. Bullis’ team is filled with matured upperclassman who have played together for three to for years. The experienced players are building strong chemistry to begin the season.
The Bullis junior staff will make a huge impact on the team. Some notable juniors include Brian Wilmans ('19), Robert Schain ('19), Bryson Shaw ('19), and Jonathan Bender ('19).
Bullis has created a challenging schedule this year which consists facing off against the Naval Academy Prep School (NAPS). The Naval Academy Prep School is the school you attend prior to the Naval Academy. This will be a hard fought game for the Bulldogs, but this will prove the level of talent Bullis has.
This is going to be an exciting year for Bullis with the new additions of players. There are high expectations this year for Bullis lacrosse and they are looking to make a splash in the IAC this 2018 spring season.
