Aside from the Cavs, the major winner of the offseason seemed to be the Chicago Bulls. Star PG Dereck Rose hopes to have his first healthy season in nearly three years, as the league welcomes back one it’s most vicious offensive guards. However, the bulls suffered a loss at the forward position as they watched PF Carlos Boozer and SF Loul Deng walk. Regardless, the addition of Derek Rose to any team will be a positive thing, now we just have to see if that positivity can turn into wins.
However, there are those less fortunate in the injury department, such as Pacers SG Paul George. Seen as one of the NBA’s most promising young stars, the 24 year old all-star will have to miss the entire 2014-15 season following a gruesome shin injury during play for team USA. George is working hard, and hopes that he will be able to play by the playoffs, that is, if the Pacers can make it that far without him.
This year is going to be a fun one, and that’s thanks to the busy offseason we had. We will watch as Lebron makes his return home, and Derek Rose looks to bounce back and play at an elite level. These storylines make the 2014-15 NBA season a special that you can’t afford to miss.
