With RGIII’s injury this past Sunday, many people have been speculating whether or not he is able to put up 20+ points on a weekly basis. Without a doubt, RGIII is a very risky choice at QB because of his vulnerability. We have seen in the past weeks that the Redskins have incorporated RGIII’s ability to run into their offense. RGIII showed his strength in the first 4 weeks, however, the blow to the head that he suffered this past Sunday was too much to overcome. He is listed as questionable for week 6. Griffin is a high risk, high reward type of player. I would pick up a player like Matt Hassleback or Josh Freeman for the time being, but that’s just me.
The Giants had a great game against Cleveland this past week putting up 51 points. If your team is short on receivers, the Giants have some solid options. With Hakeem Nicks listed as questionable, players like Domenik Hixon, Ramses Barden, or Rueben Randle are solid options for now. When Nicks returns, these players will gradually see less time. The Giants have one of the top QBs in the league and have many different offensive weapons. Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw keeps opposing defenses honest which opens up holes in pass coverage. Eli Manning will take advantage of this and will distribute the wealth among many different receivers.
There was a lot of hype surrounding Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline after a monster performance in week 4. Since then, he let down many fantasy football owners by scoring only 5 points this past week. Do not get too disappointed because Hartline still showed some hope. Hartline is clearly the #1 option for QB Ryan Tannehill. The Dolphins will have a tough time next week against the 7th ranked Rams defense, though. I advise only playing Hartline in deeper leagues for this week. With a bye the following week, Hartline will come back very strong against the New York Jets.
