The Buccaneers have been strictly defense this decade in their first round selections. Only two selections for the Bucs were offense, and only one offensive lineman is still on the team. The other 5 picks were on the defensive side of the ball. Particularly on the defensive line and secondary. These players are Gaines Adams (07’), Aqib Talib (08’), Gerald McCoy (10’), Adrian Clayborn (11’), Mark Barron (‘12); only two of these players are currently on the roster.
2. Tennessee Titans
The Titans have been offensive heavily the last few years in the NFL draft, with two selections in the last couple of years with OL with Chance Warmack ('13) and Taylor Lewan ('14). In 2012 their selection in Kendall Wright ('12) has started to pan out and other selections in the first such as Jake Locker (11’) and Kenny Britt ('09) and these two are considerable busts in the NFL.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars under the new regime are in the mode of rebuilding. Even though the Jags have drafted two quarterbacks in the first within the last 5 years they have either selected a lineman. Expect the Jags to draft a defensive player in this years draft due to the lack of talent.
4. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders are most likely the worst team at drafting players it’s actually hilarious. In the last decade they have been defensive heavy, even though they had drafted Jamarcus Russell he was a complete bust. The Raiders have selected Rolando McClain (10’) and Khalil Mack(14’) other than these two linebackers, the Raiders are extreme at drafting Defensive Backs with 5 selections within a 10 year span. The only player still on roster is D.J. Hayden from 2013 draft. Michael Huff in 2006, Fabian Washington in 2005, Nnamdi Asomugha in 2003, and Derrick Gibson in 2001 all have been busts or mediocre at best in their NFL career.
5. Washington Redskins
The Redskins have drafted 3 quarterbacks since 2002. They also have been missing a 1st round pick for the last two years they also haven’t one in 2003, 2006, 2008. In 2002, they had drafted Patrick Ramsey, Jason Campbell in 2005 and RG3 in 2012. Hopefully RG3 pans out in DC but if not expect them to draft another in the next 5 years. This year the Redskins should look to add talent on on both sides of the ball especially on defense in the Secondary and up front.
