The First game starts off away against a solid Mount St. Joe’s team that we had lost to last year by less than a touchdown. This year the Bulldogs look to capitalize the first game victory in the last 3 years against a talented offense and solid defense.
Week 2 is against a strong team in Woodberry Forest who have a 2017 QB prospect that has several offers and a Left Tackle who is committed to Stanford. By this time we look for the team to be oiled up and ready for probably the toughest game of the year.
Week 3 is against Avalon Black Knight, a well talented team with a lot of firepower on offense but doesn’t seem to always finish. The Dogs won last year by a couple touchdowns and this year would be hard to out do.
Week 4 Friendship Collegiate is very similar to Avalon and the Bulldogs look for them to be huge again upfront. Friendship is a very fast and big team but aren’t always the most discipline. At first the Bulldogs were losing in the first half, until they came back in the second to win the game 54-22.
Week 5 Riverdale Baptist is a strong team that beat the likes of Avalon and Archbishop Spalding last year. They also have several D1 Prospects and are very fast on the perimeter. The defending champs of their Catholic league last year look to make a statement against us.
Week 6 Episcopal is always a tough game. They have a young quarterback with great ability and a corner who has several D1 offers. They’re are going to come for revenge as the Bulldogs have beat them the last two years. Episcopal for sure is a sleeper to compete with Bullis for the IAC championship.
Week 7 St. Albans is a solid team that displays a lot of running and tough nose defense. The last few years they have lost badly to the Bulldogs, and this year we look to take them out from under their legs with new additions to their team.
Week 8 SSSA has a great defense; they also have their quarterback returning for his senior season, so there is some leadership on the football team. The problem with SSSA they suffer from Injuries too often and this year they hope to stay healthy.
Week 9 The Team across Falls Road is also hyped up for this game. Look for the student section and the team to talk a lot of smack and come out of the gates swinging. The main thing when playing Landon is to stay composed because they try extremely hard to get you hyped up.
Week 10 Georgetown Prep the finale of the season is always a tough game. The run first offense also has a solid Quarterback that is going into his junior season. The defense is also solid and they give trouble to most teams in the IAC this year. Look for the Bulldogs to attack the secondary and get after the quarterback to win this game.
A 3rd IAC Championship is almost on the way for the Bulldogs and the only thing that can stop them is themselves. Look for the team to work really hard in the off season and compete for a back to back to back title for the first time in School history.
