Being a girl who gets hangry without a filling lunchtime meal, I am very pleased with the new lunch service. Let me start out by applauding the “hydration station.” Lemon, lime and even strawberry-infused water has led me to drink at least two glasses of water at lunch.
As for the salad bar, the organization has changed and they have added exciting new toppings to allow limitless lettuce creations. Banana peppers, jalapenos, feta cheese, and Caprese salad are just a few of the delicious additions.
The hot lunch is better as well. But, I do think we lack healthy options at the hot food bar. Vegetables are cooked in butter and we often have carb-filled meals. We need more vegetarian options because many students do not want to make salad everyday. Pizza is the main lunch way too often.
I also have noticed that the exciting meals that were featured when Aramark first came to Bullis, such as delicious chicken nuggets and greek food, have failed to make another appearance.
Aramark needs to keep delivering on a high note and not fall short, heading back to hungry hearts and grumbling stomachs.
