Teens Like Us, which began in the spring of 2014, is a program for special needs teens ages 12-17 that allows socialization among other special needs teens as well as neurotypical teens.
Every Saturday evening, the group meets at the Rockville JCC to have a fun night out. They cook, play games, and participate in various sports including swimming. The program also holds teen day trips during the summer, on holidays, and days off of school. Teens Like Us provides a place for special needs teens to learn to be social, communicate, and develop motor and life skills.
