Students Respond Positively to New Schedule

As the hallways flooded with students in the first week of school, a mass confusion about the schedule drove through the calm flow of the day. Change was causing many students to become lost as they tried to grasp an understanding on the constantly changing blocks. After four weeks, Bullis students have settled in and are now starting to adjust to the new year.

STEM Program Under Way

In the past three State of the Union addresses, President Barack Obama stressed that STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education in our nation’s high schools will prepare students for jobs in the high-tech economy of today and of the future.  Made even more appealing by the predicted 8.55 million STEM jobs available in the U.S. by 2018, Obama’s plea is currently the centerpiece of many talks of educational reform.

Changes in North Hall to Start 2013-14 School Year

Walking into North Hall for the first time this year, returning Upper School students connected with familiar settings such as its layout and chaotic freshmen hallway. However, the 2013-2014 school year also came with a number of key changes to the Upper School’s home: a larger college counseling office, stylish wooden lockers, and much to the seniors’ displeasure – a reduced senior commons area.
