First thing’s first, it is inevitable you’ll wake up to the same loud alarm only to see the most glorious text from a friend or your parents that school has been canceled. Instantly, the alarm is turned off and you go back to sleep with a sense of pure joy that you will be sleeping in that morning.
A few hours later you decide to scroll through hours of pointless social media posts because time moves slower when you're looking at Kim Kardashian’s breakfast or someone else's snow fort. After finally having the will power to get out of bed, you go to the kitchen to make some breakfast. This step varies for everyone, but I would highly suggest taking advantage of the extra time and having a nice large breakfast. Obviously there are several staple drinks to drink on a cold snowy day, so make yourself a nice cup of hot chocolate, coffee or tea, put on your favorite pair of fuzzy socks and do what makes you most happy.
Whether it be a movie marathon, a good book or browsing the internet, spend a few hours laying around. If you are like me, and eventually get bored of this step, try bracing the cold and going outside, working out or using this opportunity to get organized. All in all, find a way to spend your snow day in a fun, comfy and relaxed way. This is a day away from school, so it’s important to make sure you have fun because before you know it you will be waking up to that same loud obnoxious alarm again.
