Allison Bass (‘17) kindly talked about her work in Art History, a new addition to the art department this year that focused on the different art periods, as well as the contrast of artwork and ideas during each period. She created a piece inspired by the Romanticism time period that ultimately captured the pure essence and beauty of nature (pictured above, third from left).
Marisha (‘18) who attended the show to observe the artwork, stated that the artwork was “extremely interesting” and she loved that “everyone came out and supported their classmates.” She also said that having art displayed from all levels was a “great way to really show all of the art that Bullis students are capable of creating.”
The Trimester Art Show truly captured the artistic abilities of Bullis students by having all students from all art classes exhibit their work for classmates, faculty and family members. The show was a great event for the community, giving everyone the opportunity to appreciate all types of art. If you have yet to come to one of the trimester' art shows, you should definitely attend the next one; the talent and artistry of Bullis students is not something you want to miss out on!
