Are Yeezy Boosts the future or just hype?

While Kanye West is well known in the music industry and is well known as a rapper, he is more than just that. He is also a fashion mogul and has been making clothing and shoes to sell to the masses. West has been praised for the sneakers that he creates, and now he has done it again with the release of his new shoe: the Adidas Yeezy Boost.
The Adidas Yeezy Boost was much anticipated as it is the first shoe that West has made with adidas. West has been making shoes since 2007, but he was previously collaborating with Nike. The shoes are officially called the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost and was released in limited numbers on February 14th for $350. The second release was only on adidas.com on February 21st. The shoe releases worldwide on February 28th. The shoe was extremely sought after, and this is because there are very few shoes like it.

The Adidas Yeezy Boost is unique; it is made of Boost cushioning and has a luxe upper design built with suede materials. There is minimized construction throughout, causing the shoe to be lightweight, and the silhouette showcases an attention to detail and eye for perfection that has followed Kanye throughout his career. The full length internal boost in the  outsole provides comfort, while the perforated vamp adds ventilation.

One of the main pros of the shoe is its unique and versatile ankle collar. The ankle collar has a zipper and the flexibility, so it is able to be worn in 5 different ways. Another pro of the shoe is the neutral color; the light brown and white color can be worn with anything. The biggest down side of the shoes is the very high price. The shoe is currently being sold on a reseller site in NY for $2,500.

If you're a sneaker fanatic, this would be a great shoe for anyone to have in their collection. However, the original price was out of budget for many, and if you missed out on the release then the reseller price is 3 times as much. If your finances allow it, my recommendation is to buy this unique shoe from any trusted reseller.

Here's a video from the Boost's unveiling:
